Hearts & Science announces senior hires

OMG’s marketing agency Hearts & Science has hired Carlos Fitzpatrick and Sonia Cunningham, as executive planning director and head of AV, respectively.

Fitzpatrick joins from M&C Saatchi Alive & Kicking where he was head of strategy and ‘connected thinking’. In his new role he will work with Simon Carr as joint executive planning directors, responsible for overseeing the strategic thinking and output of the team.

Fitzpatrick has over 20 years’ experience and specialises in consumer behaviour, psychology and the sociology of brands. During his career he has worked with clients including Booking.com, Jaguar Land Rover, Unilever and Google.

Meanwhile, Sonia Cunningham joins from Wavemaker where she was responsible for all AV. In her new role she will be responsible for planning across TV, VOD, cinema and partnerships.

Cunningham, who started her career at ZenithOptimedia as a TV buyer, brings over 15 years’ experience to the role. Over the course of her career, she has worked with the likes of L’Oreal, Sony, the Home Office, Public Health England and the RAF. She will report into Warren Dubock, head of investment.
