Hotel Babylon Remains Popular Destination For Viewers

Hotel Babylon The BBC’s slick new drama Hotel Babylon continued to draw large audiences last night, with 5.6 million adults tuning in on average.

The programme went head to head with ITV1’s high tech thriller, Eleventh Hour, which scored 3.7 million adult viewers on average.

Channel 4’s dramatised documentary, Challenger: Countdown to Disaster, performed less well meanwhile, drawing 1.8 million to its recreation of the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster of 1986.

Elsewhere Five saw a respectable audience of 2.4 million adults with American medical drama, House. The series, which stars Hugh Laurie as a specialist doctor, has been one of Five’s success stories, with the broadcaster extending its rights to the show earlier this year (see Five Extends Broadcast Rights To High Rating Imports).
