ITV Ad Revenue Decline Expected To Continue In Q4

The decline in ITV1’s ad revenue is expected to continue into the fourth quarter of the year, following an 18% decline in Q3.

A report in today’s Financial Times says that advertising revenue is now expected to fall 20% year on year for the three months to December.

In addition, the broadcaster looks set to record a 23% fall in October revenues, although this figuire could change subject to late bookings from advertisers.

Following Charles Allen’s departure, the chief executive role will be held by finance director John Cresswell until a permanent successor can be found.

Recent figures to be linked with the ITV top job include he head of United International Pictures, Stewart Till, Mike Clasper, former head of BAA, and Roger Parry, chairman of Johnston Press.
