ITV Signs Kids Shows For New Digital Channel

ITV Logo ITV has secured the UK broadcast rights to Jim Jam & Sunny, a new childrens show from Entertainment Rights, for broadcast on its forthcoming kids channel, CiTV.

The broadcaster has commissioned 260 episodes of the programme, each running for around 11 minutes, to be aired on both ITV1 and the new channel.

“This agreement represents a significant programming commitment from ITV which is positioning Jim Jam & Sunny as the flagship live-action children’s show on ITV1 and the CiTV channel,” Etertainment Rights said this morning.

The new programme will begin broadcasting on ITV1 in Autumn 2006, while the CiTV channel will air the show daily from launch.

ITV recently confirmed 11 February as the new channel’s launch date (see ITV Confirms February Launch For Kids Channel).
