Kantar has today announced the acquisition of the Guardian Digital Agency, a specialist data visualisation, site design and interactive development agency previously part of Guardian News & Media.
The company, which employs a permanent staff of 13, is rebranding under the new name Graphic. It will operate as a stand-alone unit, marketing its services to clients both inside and outside Kantar as well as to the wider WPP group.
The company will continue to be run by managing director Emma Whitehead alongside directors Adam Frost, John Loder and Tobias Sturt.
Strategic development will be overseen by Kantar creative director Aziz Cami, pictured.
“The quality of the agency’s work is well-recognised and numerous Kantar projects have already benefited from the guys’ design and story-telling expertise,” Cami said.
“Having them available to our companies and clients, while also building the business externally, will I’m sure be a great boost to Kantar’s drive toward higher creative standards.”
Whitehead added: “We are all excited about the chance to tell engaging stories and create compelling visual designs for an even wider range of clients than we already have.
“The chance to grow our portfolio of clients, take on larger challenges around the world and develop the team could not have come at a better time for us or for the industry.”
The agency will become part of Kantar with immediate effect.
