Kinetic Launches New Division For Local And Regional Advertisers

Kinetic OOH agency Kinetic has launched a new business division specifically targeting local and regional advertisers.

The company says Zone was developed to deliver local insight and a more personal approach, while still utilising Kinetic’s scale and buying power to offer value and experience to local, regional and direct clients.

Kinetic’s UK regional director, Richard Blackburn, has been appointed as Zone’s managing director. He will be supported by Nick Bell who is due to move from his current position of group account director to business development director.

Blackburn and Bell, who have 40 years experience in the industry between them, will oversee a team of 16 local and regional media experts. Their aim is to deliver local knowledge, not achievable by London-based planners.

Zone clients will also be offered access to Kinetic’s suite of planning tools and specialist business divisions, including Kinetic Mobile, Destination Media Group, data service Immediate Intelligence and creative division Hi-Resolution.

Blackburn said: “Brands seeking to reach people on the go on a local and regional level are an exceptionally important client base for Kinetic. We recognise their needs may differ from national advertisers and require a highly individual approach based on detailed local knowledge.”

“Zone will offer these advertisers a unique service that marries the attitude and commitment of an independent media agency with the unrivalled resources, skills and market strength of a global media network with billings of $4bn.”

Theron Bigland, Account Manager at BLM Clilverd, part of Arena BLM, said: “As specialists in regional media we have been waiting for a Zone for some time and we know its insight and experience will have an immediate and significant impact on our clients’ advertising investment.”
