Lucy Ogilvie joins Carat UK as chief strategy officer

Carat UK has appointed Lucy Ogilvie as its new chief strategy officer.

She will be joining from rival agency Zenith following 15 years at the company in a variety of positions – including a secondment at Aviva as head of marketing transformation – and where she is currently managing partner, strategy and digital transformation.

Ogilvie is to join Carat at the beginning of December and will lead planning and strategy across the agency – defining data-driven growth strategies for clients such as Diageo, Mondelez, Kellogg and Santander.

She replaces Dan Hagen, who recently moved to sister-agency iProspect, and will report directly to CEO Jo Sutherland.

Meanwhile, Carat has also appointed Flora Kessler as strategy partner, reporting to Ogilvie. She joins from Procter & Gamble (P&G); in her new role she will be responsible for leading and delivering key strategic projects and briefs across Carat’s client base.

Commenting on the appointment, Sutherland said: “I’m delighted that Lucy and Flora are joining our brilliant strategy and planning team at Carat. Both bring vast experience of delivering effective media plans for some of the biggest brands around.

“Their strategic thinking combined with deep digital and data expertise make them ideally placed to help our clients grow.”
