Mail On Sunday Extends You Magazine To The Newsstand

You Magazine Cover The Mail on Sunday has launched its You magazine as a standalone title, hitting newsstands in London this week with a new look and low cover price.

The title will continue its distribution within the Mail on Sunday, however, in addition to being available for £1 every Tuesday.

The title has been given a radical facelift, with a visual refresh, and new silk finish paper designed to present a much higher quality offering.

New columnists Sarah Buys, Jemma Kidd and Wendy Lewis answers readers’ questions, while You regulars Mimi Spencer, Normandie Keith and Sarah Barclay continue the magazine’s focus on women’s issues.

The title’s health and relationships team: Sarah Stacey, Dr Ali and Zelda West-Meads also remain, with the new-look title also playing host to the return of Liz Jones’s diary.

The addition of newsstand availability was made following an intensive research programme by the magazine, which identified a large group of new potential purchasers in women who don’t read The Mail on Sunday or any other Sunday paper, but who love to read magazines.

The research also found that, after seeing the quality of the You brand, a large number would be prepared to pay for the magazine.

Launching initially within the Carlton region, You has plans for a national roll out across newsstands in the near future.
