Mirror Group Announces Raft Of Advertising Appointments

Mirror Group Newspapers has bolstered its advertising team with another raft of senior appointments designed to improve its relationship with clients and agencies.

Clare Dove, director of advertising for Trinity Mirror’s national newspaper division, has recruited Keith Yonish as head of innovation. He joins from the Independent where he held the position of controller of Independent Solutions.

Meanwhile, Chris Forrester is moving to Canary Wharf as head of key accounts. He was previously head of agency sales at the Guardian and Observer. Charlie Hands joins MGN as head of inserts and also moves over from the Guardian and Observer, where he was inserts controller.

Commenting on the appointments, Clare Dove, MGN’s director of advertising, said: “MGN is now attracting the industry’s finest advertising talent, and coupled with a new, simplified structure for the department, this means improved service, better interaction with agencies and a renewed focus on creating value for our clients.”

Since joining Mirror Group Newspapers in January this year, director of advertising Clare Dove has made considerable changes to the structure of the advertising department and has bolstered her senior team with a number of new appointments.

Last week she announced the appointment of Malcolm Stoodley as of head of magazines, Suman Deol as head of the Daily Mirror‘s Ticket supplement and Nigel Birch as regional advertising director. Mike Allen was also promoted from his role as sales controller to head of newspapers with responsibility for all the national titles (see Trinity Mirror Creates New Senior Advertising Roles).
