New Editor For Woman’s Weekly

Ipc Logo Diane Kenwood has been appointed editor of IPC Connect title Woman’s Weekly.

Kenwood has recently edited several titles for contract publisher Redwood, including Your M&S and Heyday.

She has also been a chair of the Periodical Training Council and worked as an editor and contributor across a range of print titles for publishers including H Bauer, the National Magazine Company and BBC Publications.

Oswin Grady, Woman’s Weekly publishing director, said: “Diane is a passionate and engaging individual who will realise the massive potential of the Women’s Weekly brand. She has fantastic experience, her talent speaks for itself and I’m delighted that she’s joining the team.”

Diane adds: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to work on such a successful and long-standing title and to be able to take it on to the next exciting stage in its development.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the team to make the magazine bigger, better and even more enjoyable.”

The latest ABC figures, for January to June 2007, show that Woman’s Weekly had a circulation of almost 370,000 following a year on year decline of 21,500 (see ABC Results Jan-Jun 2007: Take A Break Stays Top Of Women’s Weeklies Amidst Sizeable Declines).
