New General Manager For Condé Nast Publications

New General Manager For Condé Nast Publications

Albert Read has been appointed general manager of Condé Nast Publications, and will take up the role on September 4 this year.

Read was previously deputy planning director at Condé Nast International, and also business director of Condé Nast Asia-Pacific, where he was greatly involved in the company’s expansion into China.

Read’s promotion to the newly created position of general manager will not change the current structure or reporting lines, although Condé Nast say that he will be involved at a very senior level in all operations, both editorial and commercial, present and future.

Nicholas Coleridge, managing director of Condé Nast, said: “In the past fifteen years we have grown from a company of five titles to a company with eleven, plus hotel guides, and numerous contract titles and websites, approximately 30 businesses in total.

“It will be enormously helpful to have someone of Albert’s experience and focus to help keep track of all of this, as well as to work with our team on our future expansion plans. Recently I have been working with Albert on setting up a Condé Nast company in India and he will continue to work on the management of that project, and will also assist me with CondéNet International.”
