The state-of-the-art Vue multiplex cinema is based in the Princes Quay development in Hull and will open just in time for Christmas.

Pearl & Dean will be offering advertising opportunities at the site as part of its national proposition as well as bespoke advertising deals.

In addition to on-screen advertising spots, the cinema advertising specialist will offer in-foyer activity and other cinema advertising innovations to maximise the opportunities for brands to engage with audiences and bring their products and services to life.

Vue Entertainment has invested £5 million in the cinema, which is equipped with the latest digital projection technology and offers the highest standards of picture and sound quality.

The 10-screen seated multiplex also features the latest in cinema design, with two ‘Vue Evolution’ screens complete with beanbags, sofa pods and superior seating.

A satellite link to one of these screens will also enable the showing of live music, sport and comedy events.

The installation of a 10 Terabyte computer server allows over 100 movies to be stored at any one time, providing the opportunity to offer a wide and varied choice of movies.

Mike Hope-Milne, enterprise director, Pearl & Dean, said: “It really is incredible to see the difference that digital makes to the cinema experience, and the launch of the first all-digital multiplex is a landmark for the UK.

“The digital technology also allows us to be more flexible in terms of events and alternative content for advertisers.”
