QVision Wins Glasgow Advertising Contract

Glasgow QVision has won a £3 million contract to install and sell advertising on three giant banners and two digital screens on the General Post Office building in Glasgow’s main square, according to reports in the trade press.

The digital screens, which are 500m square, will show 20-second slots at four-minute intervals. One of the three banner sites will be 40m high by 18m wide, while the other two will measure 20m high by 18m wide.

The building itself is being gutted to make way for offices, while the site will be available for the next two to three years, starting on 1 September 2006.

The Glasgow site is the US giant’s first move into UK banner advertising following its merger with UK outdoor company Hot Fusion.
