RAB chairman steps down

RAB Logo Martina King is stepping down from her role as chairman of the Radio Advertising Bureau as radio industry trade body RadioCentre cuts seven jobs.

King was appointed chairman of the RAB in February and also took on a role as non-executive director of RadioCentre (see Martina King Appointed RAB Chairman).

Andrew Harrison, the chief executive of RadioCentre, will add the role of chairman of the RAB to his remit from January.

A total of seven people at the RadioCentre have taken voluntary redundancy after a cost review of the business last month, with a reduction in headcount from 35 to 28.

The end of the year will see Paul Brown step down as the non-executive chairman of the RadioCentre, with Dianne Thompson, the chief executive of Camelot, taking over as non-executive chairman from February.
