The social media company has recently been making efforts to expand its advertising footprint.

However, Redditors’ own response to the news has been broadly negative, with many users expecting a worse user experience as they assume the company will push more advertisements and kill third-party apps.

“Seriously, it’s going to be the end of this service,” lamented one user.
