The International Ad Association is hosting yet another free mentoring experience for anyone who is looking to improve their learning and develop a career in the media industry.

Supported by Mediatel Newsline, the event allows you to quiz some of the media industry’s most prominent senior executives face-to-face for job guidance and insight on the strategies which took them to the top.

The experience works similarly to speed dating, where a maximum of three mentees per mentor will rotate on a ten minute time-slot giving you the chance to have a meaningful exchange with each and every mentor.

This opportunity is open to anyone with a curious mind but will prove to be particularly valuable for junior employees who don’t have access to training programs within their companies.

What better way to start the year than with hugely valuable career advice and an open bar?

Mentors this month include: Anna Kennedy, Marketing Director, Avocet; David Weeks, Executive Director, The Week; Rubi Pabani, Global Managing Director, Zenith; Mike Smallwood, Non-Executive Director, Princes Trust; Sadie Baron, CMO, Reed Smith LLP; Fern Potter, Managing Partner, Neo@Ogilvy; and Antony Antoni, Marketing Director, World Animal Protection amongst many others.

To help improve the experience, the IAA UK is eager to hear from people who would like to take part and offer their mentoring services. Having a wide-range of backgrounds, skills and experiences will help ensure that the event lives up to the mentees’ expectations, so if mentoring for an evening sounds like something you would be interested in, speak to the IAA.
