Sky has launched its own ‘streaming stick’ as part of its latest move to capture subscribers who would rather stream via the internet instead of use a satellite dish or cable.
Sky Stream uses the same user interface as Sky Glass, the internet-ready smart TV Sky launched last year, and can be used with any TV. As well as featuring Sky channels, it contains apps for subscriber video-on-demand services such as Netflix, Disney+, AppleTV+ and Amazon Prime Video.
Subscription packages start from £26 a month, the Comcast-owned company announced today.
There are several streaming sticks on the UK market already, including Roku, Amazon Fire, and Sky-owned NOW.
