Telegraph Relaunches Box Office With Opera Sponsorship

The Daily Telegraph has announced a deal which will see the newspaper sponsor the Glyndebourne opera company’s production of La Bohčme by Puccini to support the relaunch of its Telegraph Box Office ticket service.

The sponsorship, which covers the production at the New Wimbledon Theatre, London, from December 7th to 11th, will support the Telegraph‘s partnership with Seatem Attraction Tickets in providing its online and phone booking service, available via www.boxoffice.telegraph.co.uk.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Alex Stitt, enterprises director at Telegraph Group Limited, said: “La Bohčme promises to be a wonderful production and we are delighted to sponsor this tour. Those booking tickets through the relaunched boxoffice.telegraph.co.uk will also find a wide range of events available to book online.”

The new service offers readers a range of attractions, from theatre and sporting events to concerts and international events. The deal with La Bohčme builds on the Telegraph‘s recent spate of sponsorship tie-ups, including the continuation of its eight-year association with the House & Garden Fair at London’s Olympia last month (see Telegraph Extends Garden Show Sponsorship).

Ownership of the Telegraph titles recently changed hands, with reclusive media moguls the Barclay brothers gaining control of the Daily Telegraph and its sister publications with a winning bid worth £665 million (see Barclay Brothers Take Control Of Telegraph Titles).
