BBC One, ITV1 and Five all saw their weekly viewing shares remain relatively static year on year in April.
Other channels saw the largest increase in share for the month, up by around 1.5% year on year.
BBC Two and Channel 4 meanwhile, were both down over the same period.
BBC One remained ahead in all homes, with a viewing share of 21.7% for April, although it was relatively static year on year.
The Apprentice was a big hit for the channel in April (see The Apprentice Attracts Over 6.4 Million To BBC One) as was sci-fi show Dr Who (see Time Lord Triumphs With More Than 7.4 Million).
It was a similar story with ITV1, which was also relatively static year on year. Its weekly share now stands at 18.9%.
BBC Two and Channel 4 now have weekly viewing shares of 7.5% and 7.6% respectively. BBC Two was down by 1.3 percentage points year on year in April, while Channel 4 fell by 0.7 percentage points.
As with BBC One and ITV1, Five was static year on year, with a total viewing share of 5.3% for April.
Other channels saw their share rise, by 1.4 percentage points year on year, climbing from a share of 37.3% in April 2007 to 38.7% in 2008.
ITV1 and BBC One both saw their viewing shares rise year on year in digital homes, by around one percentage point.
ITV1 now has a viewing share of 17.8% in digital homes, while BBC One’s stands at 20.2%.
Five was up 0.3 percentage points year on year in April, to 5.0%.
BBC Two was down by half a percentage point, to 6.6%, while Channel 4 remained relatively static year on year, at 6.8%.
