New weekly free newspaper The London Weekly launches its website on Sunday, ahead of the print version which hits the streets in February.

Backed with £10.5 million in funding from Global Publishing Group, the new paper will be distributed twice a week – on Fridays and Saturdays – outside rail and tube stations in the capital.

As well as the website which launches tomorrow, the paper will also be joined by an online radio station and awards ceremony celebrating London attractions.

The new paper, edited by Roisin Robertson, will be up against the now free London Evening Standard following the demise of both the London Lite and thelondonpaper.

According to the media pack for the new paper, a full-page advert will cost £5,250 and a double-page spread will be priced at £9,291.
