We want to keep recognising women who are changing the industry — influencing, leading and driving positive disruption in media.

Ahead of International Women’s Day on 8 March, The Media Leader team are delighted to announce that we are bringing back our Gamechangers platform.

It aims to recognise women who are changing the industry, influencing, leading and driving positive disruption in media.

Gamechangers was originally launched in 2023 to celebrate the top 50 women in TV. The newest iteration will build on that as we look to celebrate women in media across sectors and seniority throughout the year.

We are really pleased to be bringing Gamechangers back, especially now, as this new version will allow us to celebrate the amazing work being carried out by women from across the industry, rather than simply focusing on one area in media.

Whenever we create new programmes and series for The Media Leader, we want them to be different to anything that currently exists.

This isn’t just about creating lists and being done with it. Like our Future 100 series and The Media Leader Club, we want Gamechangers to be brought to life by the people within it.

Our role is to provide a platform for amplifying voices, create opportunities for connections and convene the communities who can bring about change.

The strategy includes hosting Gamechangers sessions at our events, news and interviews online, and conversations via our podcasts — showcasing and spotlighting talent through thought leadership and opinion on The Media Leader.

We will still create cohorts and special features like the top 50 women gamechangers in TV, this time we will take the opportunity to spotlight and focus on different areas and communities that deserve to have their talent and work showcased.

The Media Leader will announce two exciting new Gamechangers initiatives in the next few weeks — watch this space for more.
