TNS Appoints New Managing Director

Market information group, Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), has announced the appointment of Pedro Ros, as managing director of the group with immediate effect.

The role will see Ros assume responsibility for the global account and specialist sector activities of the TNS custom business.

Commenting on the appointment, David Lowden, chief executive of TNS, said: “This board-level appointment reinforces our client-focused approach, as we place increased emphasis on servicing our major, multi-national clients through our expertise in their business sectors.”

Lowden added: “Pedro has had a broad range of experience within TNS and brings to the board significant international skills within market research.”

Last week, TNS announced the appointment of Donald Brydon as chairman, taking up the position with immediate effect and succeeding Tony Cowling (see TNS Appoints Brydon As Chairman).

The market information group also revealed that it expects to deliver underlying revenue growth of around 4%, and improvement in adjusted operating margin of 25-50 basis points for the full year. Its trading statement showed demand for syndicated services growing steadily, while demand for custom research is more variable by both region and sector (see TNS Expects To Reveal Revenue Growth Of 4%).
