TV market round-up: October 2017

October was a fairly poor month for most commercial broadcasters with a series of year-on-year revenue declines recorded.

Agency estimates show that Channel 4 was down -6.1% on the same period last year, recording revenues of £54.5m. ITV Breakfast was down -7.7% to just over £6m, while ITV was up just 0.6% to a little over £133m.

Meanwhile, total satellite was up 8.4% to £222m.
