WPP’s Wunderman To Merge With Emerge

Global advertising body, WPP, has announced that its relationship marketing network, Wunderman, will merge its Danish operations with one of Denmark’s leading independent agencies, Emerge.

The merged company will be renamed Emerge/Wunderman, with WPP retaining a minority share in the business, with options to acquire a majority interest.

The consolidation of the two companies will bring with it clients including Coca-Cola, Danzka, Pen-Sam and Grundfos.

WPP recently purchased US marketing and interactive agency, Bridge Worldwide, merging it with Wunderman (see WPP Extends Online Healthcare Offerings).

Bridge Worldwide is a top 40 interactive agency, using the internet as the centre of its marketing programs, with clients including Procter & Gamble and other leading multi-national companies.

The purchase of Bridge will strengthen Wunderman’s online and healthcare expertise, continuing WPP’s strategy of developing its networks in fast growing markets and sectors.
