Xfm Promotes Torrie

XFM Xfm has promoted Katie Torrie to the position of producer for the Richard Bacon Drivetime show, starting on Monday October 2.

Torrie replaces Paul Raffaelli, who has been promoted to senior producer for Xfm working specifically on the Lauren Laverne Breakfast Show.

Torrie has worked at Xfm for three years, beginning as a broadcast assistant on the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show. Since then she has produced Justin Lee Collins, Simon Amstell and Jimmy Carr on Xfm and most recently produced the Choice FM Breakfast Show.

Andy Ashton, network programme director at XFM, said: “Katie has spent the last couple of years gaining valuable experience on a myriad of Xfm’s top line shows including Import:Export, Jimmy Carr and The Weekender.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Katie and one that is fully deserved. It is always a pleasure to see talent rise through the ranks at Xfm and this is another example of our commitment to developing the next generation of radio stars both on and off air.”
