BBC Radio 2 host Ken Bruce is leaving the station after 31 years to join Bauer Media’s Greatest Hits Radio.
Beginning 3 April, Bruce will host a new mid-morning commercial radio show from 10:00am-1:00pm. Bruce will remain at BBC Radio 2 until his contract expires in March.
Bruce has hosted BBC Radio 2’s 9:30am-midday weekday show since 1992. BBC Radio 2’s weekly audience of 14.46 million was the UK’s largest in Q3 2022.

The move follows last week’s announcement that Greatest Hits Radio will become Scotland’s first national commercial radio station.
Bruce said of the change: “What better way to celebrate my forty-five years in radio than with a new adventure and a brand-new show on Greatest Hits Radio.”
