Following a few months of seesawing figures, television revenues had a more stable month in May – recording only minimal changes year-on-year according to UK agency estimates.
Following a string of disappointing results in March, television revenues – as estimated by UK media agencies – performed much better in April.
March this year was a bleak month for TV revenues, with ITV, Channel 4 and ITV Breakfast all seeing their total revenues fall year-on-year, according to agency estimates.
Channel 4’s February revenues are up 4.4% year-on-year, according to the latest agency estimates.
January was a good month for broadcasters, with only ITV breakfast recording a dip in year on year revenue.
December was a tough month for broadcaster, with only Channel 4 and ITV breakfast seeing television revenues increase year on year
Channel 4 improved on previous year’s revenue by over 11%, with ITV only showing a slight dip of 0.1% for November 2018
According to the latest agency estimates, ITV’s October revenues are down -5.2% with total revenues having dropped from £133m to £126m year-on-year.
September was a good month for Channel 4, with the free to air broadcaster improving revenues by 12% year on year.
The programme will be a space designed to allow discussion on current topics such as women’s representation in Westminster and the effect of alcohol in the Houses of Parliament.
