Once again RHS Media’s The Garden leads the home interest magazine market, with a total circulation of just over 439,000.
The Sunday market performed well in January and was up 0.6% overall. Six titles recorded sales growth from December, led by the Mail on Sunday with +2.2% – an additional 22,200 copies to reach more than a million sales.
The daily national newspaper market overall remained steady in the last month of 2018, recording a negligible period-on-period (PoP) change of -0.2%.

For the third consecutive month, both the daily and Sunday national newspaper markets have recorded period on period (PoP) declines, down -0.6% and -1.3%, respectively.
October was a miserable month for newspaper circulation, with both national markets and the London free press recording period on period (PoP) and year on year (YoY) declines.
In the daily market just two titles were up: the Financial Times and the Guardian, while no titles in the Sunday market recorded any growth.
Leading the pack across all national markets is The Sun, with a de-duplicated monthly total brand reach of 31.3m. The title also recorded the highest mobile reach across all markets at 22.2m.
