Channel 5 once again saw its year on year revenue increase significantly, up 39.2% on October 2010.
ITV1 banked the top three programme spots in October with the all-new X Factor line-up and the second series of Downton Abbey.
Channel 5 enjoyed another substantial year on year increase in network revenue – up 33.8% on September 2010.
The returning drama series Downton Abbey and Doc Martin helped ITV1 to secure the top 3 most watched programmes for September, with viewing figures of 11.16 and 10.31 million respectively. Ratings juggernaut The X Factor was once again top of the pile, with over 12 million viewers tuning into the edition broadcast on Sunday 18th September.
Channel 5 enjoyed a significant increase in total revenues in August – up 38.9% year on year.
The X Factor topped the most-viewed programmes listings in August with more than 12 million viewers. The first episode of the new series with judges Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa and Louis Walsh put ITV1 in the lead.
Channel 5 has bucked the trend once again, posting a 23.7% year on year increase in total revenues for July.
The Apprentice final topped the most-viewed programmes listings in July with 10.2 million viewers. The popular Alan Sugar series also stole second place in the Top Programmes listings (the penultimate show claimed 9.3 million viewers on 13 July).
Channel 5 enjoyed the best results once again in June, with revenues up 26% on last year.
Channel 5 has had another bumper month under owner Richard Desmond, with revenue up 14.9% compared to this time last year.
