The independent production company which gives us the successful comedy Birds of A Feather, SelecTV, has announced a rise in pre-tax profits for the year ending September 30 from £178,000 to £287,000. Earnings per share for that period came out at 0.19p compared to 0.15p in 1992.

The High Wycombe and Watford divisions of Westminster Press have been retitled the Free Press Group and will be made up of the Bucks Free Press Group, the Watford & St Albans Observers and the Hendon Times. The papers will share production and administration costs but intend to operate at their current bases.
